Moving companies are not the same on many levels, but one very important aspect is often unknown or overlooked by the consumer.  The vast majority of moving companies use independent contractors (also called day laborers) to perform the job.  This means that the worker coming to your home is not afforded the same protections as an employee.  Employees are paid regardless of payment to the company for work performed, they are entitled to unemployment benefits and worker's compensation benefits, and they are trained, supervised, and given direction by the company - just to name a few of the differences.

Providing protection for my clients and for my staff - it's is the right thing to do.
